62811Fundamental Components: Independently participates in proposal strategy development for assigned cases with some high level guidance from their assigned mentor. Distributes strategy agenda and leads the discussion of agenda points in a collaborative effort with Sales, Underwriting and Sales Support team members. Provides a summary of the strategy call, identify deliverables, and establishes timeframes for completion of deliverables. Gathers information from source systems to complete increasingly challenging RFPs, including network statistical data, questionnaire responses, statistical facts, sample materials required for the RFP including standard reports supplied to plan sponsor, product brochures, ID cards, etc. Customizes questionnaire responses based on case-specific quotation strategy and customer priorities. Conducts thorough research to create questionnaire responses where a standard response does not exist. Manages RFP response by coordinating with appropriate areas of the organization to ensure timeliness and quality of RFP. Facilitates plan design review and preparation of deviation documents. Solicits appropriate network access reports. Requests responses to non-standard questions. Solicits financial proposals for ancillary coverages such as dental, vision, EAP, FSA, etc. Calculates fees within assigned variance authority levels requiring a solid understanding of Aetna pricing methodology and underwriting policies. Recommends appropriate financial concessions to management, providing sufficient background information and a clear business justification. Selects standard and non-standard Performance Guarantees, obtaining approval when necessary. Follows established departmental set of procedures for RFP follow up, including responding to additional questions, clarification of original responses and recalculation of fees. Assists in the preparation of customer-focused sales presentations. Serves as a resource to the Implementation Services Organization to gather and share appropriate information regarding final fees and documentation to facilitate the smooth installation of sold cases. Shares expertise with team members and/or other internal constituents. Participates in department projects and consultant and marketing surveys. Background Experience: 1-3 years of RFP project management experience.Must enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment and be adaptable to changing priorities.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet Explorer.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and negotiate across the business and in the external health care environment.Must be organized and efficient, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
