The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading a variety of initiatives for the Medicaid Medical Management Team. Involves working with key stakeholders at health plans across the United States and with teams in a matrix shared services environment.

THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN ANY STATE.



Fundamental Components:
Responsible for leading projects on the Medicaid Medical Management Team. Projects include new program implementations, clinical cost savings initiatives, ABX initiatives, system initiatives (replacement, new, or redesign), and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Flexible in working cross-functionally with a variety of subject matter experts and with key stakeholders at the health plan and within shared services. Ability to design a work plan and use available tools/programs to facilitate and track deliverables and key milestones to ensure successful project management and on-time execution. Ability to identify and execute risk mitigation strategies. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are a must for this role.

**PMP certification required**

**Must have a background in healthcare project management**

Solid Project Management Skills
Proven ability to affect change and motivate others, positive interpersonal skills.

Proven track record as a self-starter in leading projects, negotiating for resources and meeting project milestones.
Past positions required acting a project lead and directing teams
Proven professional communication skills both written and verbal
Strength in communicating to provide clarity and direction to colleagues in varied positions, including senior leadership
Experience includes development of budgets
BS/BA or equivalent experience and 5-7 years of project management experience related to standards, technology, systems, processes etc preferred.
